NeverTheLess – August 14, 2016

Welcome to All, especially if you are visiting us today.  We are delighted to have you here.  Please join us for lemonade in the garden after 10:00 church.

Ushers Needed!  All you need to do is hand out bulletins and smile warmly!  Currently, we have openings for the month of September.  Being an usher is not a difficult job, but it is vital to the worship experience on any Sunday morning.   Please sign up at Information Central or contact Rich Holt, 368.0609 or

Walk In Love:  The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  Each one must give as has decided in his heart.

2 Corinthians 9:6

It's time to think about our Annual Parish Retreat at ShrineMont!  Save the date! September 23-24-25. A sign-up sheet is posted at Information Central!

Peter Paul Development Center    During summer months, the children of PPDC are given snacks to take home, snacks such as granola bars, fruit cups, cheese crackers, peanut butter crackers, raisins or other dried fruit, and other non-perishable finger foods.  If you'd like to contribute, there is a marked basket at Information Central.

Supper Club 2016-2017   We’re really excited about Supper Club for this year.  It’s a great way to get to know more people in the church in a smaller setting.  With summer waning, we are beginning to work on setting up Supper Club.  We will again be forming an adult-only and a family-with-children Supper Clubs with a substitute list for each.  Dinner groups will be made up of someone to serve as host, bring an entrée, bring a vegetable and/or salad, OR bring a dessert on a rotating basis for responsibility and group.   As a guideline, we are suggesting the second Saturday of each month for the groups to meet, but this is only a suggestion and can be changed according to the needs of the host and members of that month’s group.  Everyone participating in Supper Club (adults, families and substitutes) will have Potlucks in Brydon Hall on:  Saturday, September 17 at 6:00 pm (unit assignments, contact information and substitute lists and guidelines will be distributed); Sunday, December 11 at 12:00 noon; Saturday, May 13 at 6:00 pm.  Suggested Supper Club dates: October 8, November 12, January 14, February 11, March 11 and April 8.

Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board at Information Central.  Please be sure to add your contact information.

Vacation Bible School   Starts TOMORROW and continues through Thursday, from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Everyone is welcome.  VBS is a 3-day education program called “SURPRISE: Stories of Discovering Jesus”; the fourth night is an all-family dinner/fun night.  Jesus surprised the people he met.  Are you ready for your children to be surprised by Jesus?   The VBS educational program is designed for Pre-K - 5th Graders and we would love to have middle and senior high kids perform the dramas that are included with the program and to help with the children’s activities. And of course we need volunteers to make this a special experience for our children!  Questions?  Interested in participating?  Contact Jen Martin, .
