NeverTheLess – December 2, 2018

Welcome To All, especially if you are visiting us today. We are delighted to have you here.  If you are visiting, we invite you to fill out a pew card and put it in the plate.

Nametags … we have some new staff, and we’re seeing lots of new visitors.  Please wear your nametag to help the newer folks know who we all are; it is the easiest way to offer radical hospitality!  If you don’t have one, please let Margaret know – 798.6336.

Advent Faire   TODAY!  Brydon Hall, following 10 am church!  Family arts and crafts activities, and Santa Store for little ones to select gifts for moms and dads (we’ll help with selections and wrapping).  Fun for all, everyone welcome!

Bluegrass Mass   join us here at 5 pm next Sunday, December 9, for a little preachin’ and a whole lot of beautiful bluegrass music.  Invite a friend, all are welcome!

Fourth Quarter: The Center for Elder Spirituality    The Fourth Quarter of our lives asks much of us – how will we use this time?  Please check out our new bulletin board in the hallway, where there are brief descriptions of our courses and activities.

Monthly Birthday Parties   starting in January, once a month on the second Sunday of the month, the folks who have a birthday in that month get to decide together how to acknowledge it!  On Sunday, December 9 at 11:30 in Brydon Hall, find your birthday month on a table and talk with your other birth month celebrators to plan your party!

Red Hats   was rescheduled from last week, and will meet at 11:30 am this Tuesday, December 4, at More Than Greek, 8161 Atlee Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111

Ashland Christian Emergency Center (ACES)   we have a bin in the hallway dedicated to donations to ACES; pinned up above the bin is a current list of items ACES folks need most.

Peter Paul Development Center    we are “adopting” the same family we helped out last year at Christmas; there is a box for donations, and above it, a chart about the children’s clothing sizes and Christmas wishes.  Please drop off your unwrapped gifts by December 16, and thank you for your kind hearts.
