The Middle School Youth-led Worship Sunday   at the 10 a.m. service today. Under the guidance of our dedicated youth leaders, P.K. Kinser and Aleta Meyer, this annual celebration draws young adults into the fold of our Christian tradition of worship and thanksgiving.



Mark Your Calendar For The Annual Meeting   The Annual Meeting of the Parish will be next Sunday, February 12, immediately following 10:00 church.  We will hear from Anna on her vision for St. James the Less, and we will elect our vestry.

Stewardship Update:   As of Monday, January 30, we had received 98 Pledges for a total of $310,734.15, gently surpassing our goal of $310,000.00.   If you have not made a pledge, we humbly ask your prayerful consideration in doing so. If you have questions or need a pledge card, please contact the office at 798.6336.



Walk a Mile in Their Shoes   Circles Ashland is offering a POVERTY SIMULATION event at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Ashland on Sunday, February 12 from 2:00-4:30 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.  This is an opportunity to move around the room, interacting with others as you navigate and experience the struggles, frustrations, and realities of life in poverty.  Please RSVP to the church office at St. Ann's (798-5039).  

Male Volunteer Still Needed for Youth Mission Trip   a male chaperone is still needed for the high school youth group mission trip this summer, Tri-cities Workcamp. What’s All the Hype About Pop Tops?  St James the Less is once again collecting and saving Pop Tops for the Richmond Ronald McDonald House.  Please keep up the momentum.  Any pop top will do:  soup cans, soda cans, dog / cat food cans ...  Keep 'em coming!  The Sunday School wants to deliver the best year ever to the Ronald McDonald House in memory of Charlotte Reynolds. 



Scheduling Reminder:  Anna is usually off and out of the office on Fridays and Saturdays.  If you have a pastoral emergency on one of those days or during the evening, please call the rectory's landline:  (804) 299.3730.  If she is not there, please leave a message.  You may also contact the Senior Warden, Steve Pace, (804) 516.6107, who will be in touch with her directly.  As well, Anna does not have access to her church email off-site, so if you email her after about 5:00 on Thursdays, she will not get that email until Sunday morning at the earliest, and possibly, not until Monday, depending on her Sunday schedule.
