NeverTheLess – November 12, 2017

Welcome To All, especially if you are visiting us today. We are delighted to have you here. Nametags are an outward symbol of radical hospitality.  If you don’t have one, please see an usher or a greeter for assistance.  If you are visiting, we also invite you to fill out a pew card and put it in the plate.

Father Rock is leading an Inquirers' Class for those who wish to officially be a part of St. James the Less and the Episcopal Church, Sundays at 6 pm in the Library OR Wednesdays at 7 pm.  The class is in 4 parts, and will be in preparation for the Bishop's visit on the morning of December 24.  Teens in High School through adults of any age can participate.  Please contact Father Rock if you have any questions.

Stewardship update:

We have had an excellent week to conclude Ingathering Sunday.  While we are already ahead of where we were last year in December, we are still working towards fulfilling our ambitious goal and we invite you to consider prayerfully how you can contribute to the good works of this parish.
If you haven’t pledged yet, or ever, we invite you to join us in the good work that is happening here at St. James the Less by making a pledge.  Pledge cards are still available in the hallway, and in the narthex, or by calling the office.
If you have pledged in the past, and feel for some personal or pastoral reason you cannot this year, please contact Father Rock.  He would love to be able to connect with you, not about your pledge, but about what is happening in your life.

Gratitudes from the Stewardship Committee:  Each week we give thanks to parishioners who exemplify the spirit of giving back to God in thankfulness for His generosity.  Our heartfelt thanks to:  Beth Harrison, for her inspired and dedicated facilitating of adult Bible Study.  Thank you, Beth!

Seamstresses!   The vestments that the St. Cecilia Choir children wear are the same cassocks many of you and/or your children wore. They are rather tight through the neck and shoulders and the robes can't be let out. We are exploring the possibility of having 12 new robes made, along with extras for potential new children joining the choir. If any of you are proficient at sewing new robes, please contact Joanne Robb at

Peter Paul Development Center   is beginning to collect food items to help their families with Thanksgiving.  There is a bin, and a list of suggested items, at Information Central, for your donations.
