NeverTheLess – September 15, 2019

Welcome To All, especially if you are visiting us today. We are delighted to have you here.  If you are visiting, we invite you to fill out a pew card and put it in the plate.

Vestry Coffee Pot   today, at 9am, in Brydon Hall, to discuss safety protocols.  Please help yourself to coffee and join us for this important discussion.

4th Quarter Invites You…   today, following the 10am worship, please come downstairs for a blessing and a reception to inaugurate the 4th Quarter space. Light refreshments will be served.  All are welcome.

Contemplative Service   we resume the monthly Contemplative service on Sunday, September 29 at 5 pm.  Join us for a service of music, scripture, poetry, and quiet. A gentle way to end your weekend.  All are welcome, bring a friend.

Ashland Stew, Brew and Blue Fest!   Save the date – November 23, 11-5! And plan to invite friends and neighbors to join us for a day of family fun, Brunswick Stew, Bluegrass Music, a Beer truck, a Bake sale, Bouncy house, …  Volunteer opportunities abound – sign-ups available around the church, or contact the office.

Pens, and Pew Racks, and … we try to keep pens easily accessible near the pew cards, to make life easier for our visitors.  Unfortunately, they usually tumble to the bottom of the racks and no one, especially our visitors, has any idea they are there.  Toilet paper rolls fit neatly in the corners of the pew racks and will hold the pens upright!  If you think of it, please bring in your toilet paper rolls as they become available.  Ultimately, we’ll need ~100 at any given time.  Leave them on Margaret’s desk in the office.

Ashland Christian Emergency Center (ACES)   we have a bin in the hallway dedicated to donations to ACES; pinned up above the bin is a current list of items ACES folks need most.  Also, ACES is recruiting drivers for Hanover Senior Rides, a volunteer transportation program for seniors.  If you’d like to know more, please call (804) 543.6115.
